Triple F's Rating:

Starring: Jamie Gillis is terrific in the best acting role he's ever had (better than even Misty Beethoven). he is convincingly cruel and menacing as a kidnapper who collects women and trains and sells them to be sex slaves. Annette Haven, Abigail Clayton, and Leslie Bovee, who play the three "angels" who come to rescue them, are their usual wonderful selves.

Superb production values, this is a really taut thriller throughout the first hour or so. There are some chilling moments, like when Leslie Bovee is pleading to Jamie in the dark, or watching the fully programmed Susan McBain (She's incredible). Drop the X-rated sequences, and this is almost comparable to Kiss the Girls.

That's the problem with first hour, you are so aware that the women aren't enjoying the sex, that this is sexual assault and not sex. It may make riveting storytelling, but it's not erotic to watch women drugged, hypnotized, or forced to have sex in a dungeon, None of the sex scenes are enjoyable until the last 15 minutes.

Annette Haven finally appears and takes over the movie in the last 15 minutes with a all-girl threesome with the other angels, and a finale screwing with John Leslie. What a woman! The movie shifts to a different gear with Annette. It then becomes the light Charlie's Angels takeoff I was hoping for. It ends with the Angels Coyly exacting "revenge" by tying up Jamie Gillis and screwing his brains out. (Oh, that'll teach him a lesson)

If the dark tone didn't suppress the sex enough, the director had a sick running gag of coitus interruptus throughout the film.

This is really a mixed bag. It does have award-caliber performances, and an appropriately dark and disturbing production. It just doesn't have the sex I was hoping for from the A-list cast. I just wish this movie had more Annette, so I could give it more than a 6.
