Starring: The incomparable Angel (in her first film, wow!!), though she is listed on the box cover and in the film as Brandee, Ann Bardot, Carol Cross, Robin Everett, Sharon Kane, Tish Ambrose, and Honey Wilder. R Bolla, Eric Edwards, and John Leslie are the guys. Angel/Brandee and Ann Bardot, star as strippers from Iowa looking for a better life in New York as feature dancers. Silly plot, but acted earnestly by the two leads, who take on the bulk of the sex work.

This is a golden age flick, so the production values are head and shoulders above anything today. This film also has a soundtrack with songs (much like the plot)inspired by Flashdance. There are many scenes shot on the streets of New York City (not cheap even black then), scenes on a Greyhound bus, and the first part is shot on location at a third rate strip bar. Unfortunately, this doesn't really add much to the enjoyment of the movie.

The first 15 minutes, with two hot strip scenes and a menage a trois, and the last 15 minutes, with Angel/John Leslie, and Honey Wilder/John Leslie pairings, are incredibly scorching, but the middle part sags a little bit and loses much of the sexual momentum built up early. Better editing could have solved this.

Angel, she makes her statement as an icon of golden age porn with four engaging sex scenes, and a strip scene to start the film that you can't take your eyes off. Also, the hottest scene in the movie belongs to the porn legend Honey Wilder, a superior actress, when she says she hasn't had it in a long time and she wants it, you believe it. One shot wonder Ann Bardot, the other star, has abs of steel in this film, wonderful.

The middle of the film, is very uneven and unsure how to balance the nonsensical story and the sex. Sharon Kane, used only in the opening strip sequence, has no dialogue or sex scenes, very disappointing. Sonja Sorrello, who steals the classic porn film Liquid Assets, has only a brief uncredited secretary role, very, very disappoiting. Petite Ann Bardot, though energetic and cute, suffers in comparison to the iconic Angel, her sex scenes don't ignite the same heat for me.

What could have been all-time classic amounts to only a good representation of the golden age of porn. Aside from the exceptional use of Angel, the cast is misused. Sharon Kane and Sonja Sorrello and Honey Wilder should have been used much more that they were. Instead of wasting all that money on location footage in New York, which doesn't add anything, they should have to shot more sex. However, this is Angel's first film and that alone merits a 9. I just wish they had made a movie up to the standards of her considerable beauty and talent.
