Starring: Keri Windsor plays "Amanda," a somewhat selfish young woman who is badly injured in an auto wreck. On the brink of death, she encounters the spirit of her dear, departed friend "Pam" (Gwen Summers), who leads Amanda on a re-examination of her lovelife. Gina Ryder, Julie Meadows, and Wanda Curtis each get a hot scene, and the male cast is a veritable Who's Who among contemporary studly stalwarts -- Mark Davis, Ian Daniels, Dillon Day, Cheyne Collins, and Lee Stone. The attractive cast is the strong point of this wellmade, 95-minute feature, directed by Dino Ninn.

Ninn's direction is a bit strained at time -- meaningless camera movement and video editing stunts to create interest during some of the sex scenes. But the videography and editing are crisp and the lighting quite good. The sets are pretty good but don't particularly contribute to the video.

This is run-of-the-mill couples' porn --pretty people, handsomely produced, and moderate heat. Strokers may demand something a bit nastier, but couples and newbies will probably find "Impact" more than satisfactory. Six scenes,interspersed with short segments of introspection by Keri and Pam: (1) Keri and Pam do the lesbo thing in a diner setting. (2) Gina accosts auto mechanic Cheyne and gives him quite a ride before taking a load in her mouth. (3) Keri models lingerie for designer Ian, but won't let him touch her; his new model, Julie, is much more accomodating and they enjoy a vigorous coupling. (4) Keri recalls a hot tryst with Dillon in a phone booth. (5) Then she witnesses "shy" Dillon enjoying another public screw with Wanda, which turns into a spirited threesome when Mark happens by. (6) Realizing that she's letting true love pass her by, "Amanda" gets a second chance at life, and Keri and Lee celebrate with a romantic bedroom scenes. The men are a little bit wooden here (if very woodly), but the women are generally into it and very satisfying to watch.

The attractive cast, including the guys. You wife or girlfriend will enjoy watching them while you salivate over the ladies.

The script, by Raven Touchstone, is well-intentioned but lame. No real differentiation of characters -- especially the guys, who are just interchangable hunks. There's no real action or progression in the story, save for the hot sex scenes.

As I said, a handsome production with a very attractive cast who seem to enjoy what they're doing. Okay couples fare, but there's better couples fare out there, and strokers are going to find this one on the tame side.
RATING: 7 -- barely, for the attractive cast.
