Starring: During the mid-'80s, the great Alex deRenzy struggled to make video as satisfying as film. He sometimes succeeded by streamlining his productions and keeping the tone light, but the sex sizzling. "Angel Puss," yet another hospital romp, is certainly light, but lacks sizzle. It stars Joey Silvera as a patient with poison oak and blue balls. The nurses include Shann McCullough and Renee Morgan, with Tom Byron, Peter North and Brandi Wine popping up for some action whenever Silvera begins hallucinating.
The ham-fisted script is as obvious as the sets are phony. It's OK when a video plays for laughs, but the "gag" plot is so heavy-handed it drains the sex of any excitement.
There are plenty of great looking babes to devour. You'll wish you had a Renee Morgan to visit you in your time of need. And Brandy Wine makes a great guardian angel.
The cast throws itself into its work. Shanna, a blow job queen, demonstrates her skills in a fun scene with Byron and North. And the climax, Brandi appears as angel assigned to relieve aching balls and heals our Joey.
It's an obvious quickie toss off without much focus on making the sex heated. DeRenzy feels lost.
A 5 for the game cast.
