Dear John Description: "Heather plays a horny wife thinking of leaving her husband. She even starts her "Dear John" letter. Then something happens. In the middle of a cocktail party she happens upon the bathroom. The perfect place for illicit sexual rendezvous. And she has many.Including Sean Michaels, Alex Jordan, Teri Diver and more.Paul Thomas' Dear John, for boys rooms everywhere."
Starring: This simple (and simplistic) tale was directed by what is now accepted as Paul Thomas's alter ego Judy Blue. The "Blue" moniker usually appeared on his Vivid films that were the most underdeveloped. This bears all Thomas's markings. It's about an unstable personal relationship rocked when the partners, in this case Heather Hunter and Sean Michaels, seek new sexual conquests as their anniversary draws near. The catch here--and I'm not sure what it mean--is that most of the cast winds up in a bathroom where some steamy fucking occurs. The cast features Alex Jordan, Steve Drake, Teri Diver and Tom Byron.
The sex is well-shot and the action is quite heated. But it's all set against such a ridiculous backdrop. Whatever Thomas had in mind fails.
When focused on the lead characters' sexual frustrations, the video taps into something we've all felt, the erotic pull of cheating. But that's blunted by the strange plot.
There are a number of good moments: Alex Jordan and Teri Diver to a solid girl-girl, while Drake takes Alex in another steamy screwing.
But the scenes just stand alone with only the weakest narrative to bolster the action.
