Some of my favorite porn “epics” have been Private projects. “The Pyramid”, “The Tower” and “The Uranus Project” all come to mind, but there have been several. The Private Gladiator is the latest epic from the company that does them better than anyone. This DVD was named best of all time by FHM magazine recently and that's a whole lot of praise from a mag that knows what guys like. I don't know what would make a DVD the very best ever, but the menus are impressive, the picture is outstanding, the production values high and there seems to be quite a hot cast of Euro-babes waiting around to get fucked. It also has dubbing that is funny as hell, especially since there is actually an attempt at a script here.

Tony Ribas plays Maximus, a might warrior about to embark on the battle to end all battles. Meanwhile, there is evil lurking as a set of power mad cousins prepare to make a run at the throne. There is sexual tension between the beautiful woman (Rita Faltoyano) and her slightly effeminate cousin, but she brings in two barbarian women to please them. Each of them pick a chick and enjoy the taste. For savages, these girls are very well put together and nicely groomed. Both cousins seem equally fond of pussy, but the guy has the advantage of a stiff prick to nail his slave girl with. The scene has a slightly glossy look to it and I don't particularly like the way the action cuts back and forth between the two couples, but there is plenty of eye candy.

There is a pretty well shot battle scene between the Romans and the Barbarians that ends with the Romans winning and Maximus being offered the throne. This sets up a direct conflict with the Emperor's son who shows up after the battle has been won. (He's been sticking it to hotties with his cousin.) The rest of his soldiers partake in a victory orgy that has the huge tent packed wall to wall with hot Euro-babe flesh. With this many girls going, it's hard to pick a favorite but you won't go wrong with any of them. They all look great and give good eye contact while sucking dick. As the soldiers plug away at their shaved pussies, the girls just take whatever spare meat they can find and shove it into their mouths. Maximus is busy cleaning his wounds when the Emperor's niece comes to visit. They used to have a thing together, but he is married now and she has moved into the arms of another. He escapes of course, but the new emperor will have to find that out later. The Senate will get the news of the new emperor soon, but they are too busy taking part in yet another orgy scene. This one has only three couples going at it, so it's a little easier to follow the action, but it still jumps around a bit too much for me. The brunette is the best looking girl of the three, but all of them are thin, pretty and happy to squat fuck until their legs nearly give out. After finding his burned and his wife murdered, Maximus ends up in prison. We actually started the movie with him attacking the guards. This is easily one of the most impressive DVDs I've seen in a long time. The picture quality, bonus material and production values are incredible. Sexually, this is not the best Private movie I have ever seen. They went with the slo-mo route and certainly earned some couples appeal for the beautiful costumes and the pretty sex. Don't get me wrong, this is a far cry better than most US features sexually. It's hard to compliment the acting when the dubbing is so bad. The script is pretty good and the special effects are a cut above the norm. I'm not as into group scenes as some people, so a few of the scenes didn't appeal to me as much as they might have. Rita is gorgeous and I hope to see a lot more of her the next two installments.
